In the Middle of a Busy Train Station in Paris, The Music of Two Strangers Leaves Commuters Breathless

In the middle of a bustling Parisian train station sits a “a vous de jouer” (it’s your turn) piano. A few of these a spread across the city, encouraging anyone who wishes to play, regardless of whether they know how to or don’t, to take a seat and pour their hearts out to the strangers going about their days around them.

Commuters might come across someone who was playing beautifully or maybe their luck would have them pass by when someone was playing something that would make their ears bleed.
But one particular day, the commuters at Austerlitz station did not know that they were about to witness something incredible. It started out pretty normal, when a man sat down and started to play. Suddenly, a few chords in, a hand reaches over his shoulder and starts to strike a few keys of its own. Hundreds of people stop to listen to the beautiful musical amalgamation of these two strangers.
You can see for yourself here:

The two strangers who created a magical piece of music by chance are Gerard Pla Daró from Spain, and Nassim Zaouche from Algeria. These two men had never crossed paths before this train station in Paris. Since then, the video has been viewed all around the world and the two pianists have become internet sensations.

Their performance is a beautiful interpretation of the piece, “Una Mattina”, by Luddovico Einaudi. The collaboration of these two strangers in the middle of a crowded train station reinsures the fact that music is a universal language and no matter where you are, it can leave you breathless! Don’t forget to share this piece of beauty with your friends.
